Anzac Day parades and ceremonies
Friday 25 April 2008
"Lest we forget"
A deep scar was left in the hearts of New Zealanders 93 years ago when our
troops went into battle at Gallipoli in 1915. Help keep their memory alive by
attending an ANZAC Day service to remember and honour those who fought for our
country.

Auckland War Memorial Museum
Auckland War Memorial Museum
was built as a memorial to the 12,000 people from the Auckland province that
died in the first and second world wars.
Each autumn the museum
remembers the sacrifices these people made for others by hosting a wide range of
family activities and exhibitions.
The museum opens at 6.45am on
25 April, immediately after the dawn service, and closes between 10.15am and
noon for the commemorative service. No donations are required on Anzac Day.
