About the event
You are invited to join Anzac Day commemorative services around the city to honour those who fought for our country.
Auckland services include 6am and 11am commemorations at the Cenotaph Court of Honour in front of the Auckland War Memorial Museum, as well as the RSA Anzac Day parades and services listed below.
If you plan to march in Anzac Day commemorations, please arrive half an hour before the start time to allow for assembly.
Avondale
A parade starts at 9.40am at the RSA's Layard Street clubrooms and travels along Rosebank and Great North roads to St Ninians War Memorial for a 10am service.
College Rifles
A parade starts at 9.30am on Minto Road and travels along Remuera Road and Haast Street, ending at the rugby club rooms for a 9.45am service.
Grey Lynn
A parade starts at 9.45am from the corner of Castle Street and travels along Richmond Road and Francis Street for a service outside the RSA clubrooms for a 10am service.
Mt Albert
A parade starts at 9.25am from the car park near the Alberton Avenue shops, bound for a 9.30am service at the Mt Albert War Memorial Park (Rocket Park).
Mt Eden
A parade starts at 10.50am from Dexter Avenue and travels along Dominion Road to the Mt Eden War Memorial Hall, 487 Dominion Road, for an 11am service.
Mt Roskill
A parade starts at 9.25am from the intersection of Cullen Avenue and May Road and travels to the Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall for a 9.30am service.
Mt Wellington/Panmure
A parade starts at 9am from the RSA clubrooms at 11 Pleasant View Road, travels a circuit around Jellicoe, Queens and Pilkington roads and then proceeds to the Panmure Community Centre, 13 Pleasant View Road, for a 9.20am service.
Newmarket
A parade starts at 9.45am from Teed Street and travels down Broadway to War Memorial Park (by Olympic pool) for a 10am service at Olympic Park.
Onehunga
A parade departs at 9.45am from the corner of Trafalgar Street and Onehunga Mall, travels to Church and Pearce streets, returns to Onehunga Mall and then proceeds to the RSA at 57 Princes Street for a 10am service.
Orakei
A parade starts at 10.20am at the Kupe Street car park and travels to the RSA at 178 Kepa Road for a service.
Otahuhu
A parade leaves Piki Thompson Way at 9.30am and travels to the Otahuhu War Memorial Monument, and through Great South Road and Atkinson Avenue to the Otahuhu Workingmen’s Club at 101 Atkinson Avenue.
Pt Chevalier
A parade starts at 10.30am from Alberta Street, travels along Pt Chevalier and Great North roads, finishing at the RSA at 1136 Great North Road for a 10.50am service.
St Heliers
A parade begins at 10am from Vellenoweth Green, Tamaki Drive, travels to the War Memorial, then continues on to Turua Street to the Tamaki Ex-servicemen Association Hall for a 10.20am service.
Waiheke Island (two services)
A 5.50am dawn service takes place at Anzac Reserve. The Civic service begins with a parade at 10.50am from Belgium Street to the Waiheke War Memorial Hall for an 11am service.

Getting to the Dawn and Civic Services
at the Cenotaph Court of Honour
We advise Aucklanders to avoid driving and plan ahead to make use of the special public transport services available.
NZ Bus will provide free travel for Veterans who show their RSA badge or medals on all their associated services for Anzac Day. This also includes SuperGold Card holders.
The Link Bus Service will run from 5am to assist patrons going to the Dawn Service at the Auckland Domain.
Alternatively, the Newmarket train station provides easy access to the event.

Road closures and parking
- Lovers Lane, Cenotaph Road, Football Road and The Crescent will be closed from 4am to 1pm on Saturday, 25 April, and there will be no parking on Cenotaph, Football and Wintergarden roads from 10pm on Friday, 24 April to 1pm on Saturday, 25 April.
- There is mobility parking on The Crescent and Maunsell Road Extension for mobility parking permit holders only.
- There is a disability drop off area on Maunsell Road Extension. Enter from Titoki Street as Cenotaph Road will be closed.
- Public parking is available on the outer sportsfield.
