There are many ways you can participate at Pasifika Festival and if you are interested, we'd like to hear from you!

Stallholders

If you have a product or service that reflects Pacific Island culture, you might like to apply for a stall site at the festival.

We're interested in a wide variety of products and services:

arts and crafts
clothing
jewellery
coconut product
educational opportunities
health services etc.

Applications for a stall site will open in mid-August 2008.

Volunteers

Be part of this unique and special celebration of the many cultures within New Zealand.

and want to help, then we'd love to hear from you.

Performers

There are several performance stages at the festival which will showcase the talent of our Pasifika communities.

Applications to audition to perform at Pasifika Festival 2009 will open in mid-September 2008.

Artists and community groups

We are looking for people from each of our participating cultural groups/villages to take part in some of the arts projects that we have planned for the festival. We would love to hear from any emerging artists that are bilingual and well connected to their community.

We are also looking for older folk who have a great grasp of their home island lore and who are interested in passing on some traditional chants, stories, dance or other performances around the theme of the eel.

If you are not sure whether you fit the criteria, but would like to be included on a database of artists, performers, leaders, events people and others from the Pasifika community, please contact us with details of what you can do.
