Farmers Santa Parade

About the event

Santa and kids.

Santa is kick-starting festivities early this year, bringing the magic of Christmas to the streets of Auckland, attracting thousands of people celebrating one of the happiest days of the year.

See more than 200 Christmas creations in the parade bringing excitement, fun and fantasy to families since 1947.

New floats, characters and special guest stars will join a host of A-list celebrities to help us celebrate this year's Parade.

Cancellations will be announced on Newstalk ZB on Sunday, 29 November after 10am.

Rain date has been set for Sunday 6 December.

AFTER PARTY

This year's After Party will be held in Lorne and Rutland Streets.

Non-stop music, TV2 celebrities, rides and giveaways will be available.

ROUTE: Mayoral Drive
  Queen Street
  Customs Street West
  Albert Street
PARADE TIME: 2pm to 3.30pm
AFTER PARTY: Rutland and Lorne Streets from 3.15pm to 5pm

Road closures

All inner city roads are closed between noon and 4pm.

Get into the city before noon to avoid congestion.

Parking in the city

Parking is available at the following Auckland City Council car parks:

  • Downtown
  • K'Road
  • Victoria Street.

Parking is free for vehicles exiting between noon and 6pm on the day of the parade.

Outstanding Volunteer Award
