We are delighted to sponsor the Auckland City Volcanoes Challenge again in 2007.

This event is unique to Auckland and allows people to experience and celebrate Auckland's volcanic nature and topography. Our volcanoes are iconic landscape features and of great cultural importance. We are committed to preserving, protecting and enhancing them for future generations to enjoy.

Competitors will run to and up Auckland's volcanoes in any order they choose. They must stick to established tracks and paths to avoid corrosion of these peaks, and risk disqualification if they deviate.

All multiple volcano events start and finish in One Tree Hill with no prescribed course route. Participants have the ability to tactically plan their quickest route based on maps, strategy, fitness and teamwork.

You may choose to enter any of the following Auckland City Volcanoes Challenge events:

  • Epic Team 12 Volcanoes (4/5 person team)
  • Classic Seven Volcanoes challenge run
  • Original Five Volcanoes run/walk
  • 10km run/walk
  • 5km run/walk
