Auckland Writers and Readers Festival

About the event

Auckland Writers and Readers Festival.

The Auckland Writers and Readers Festival is back for its 10th year, bringing a stellar line-up of writers on economics and politics, terrorism, science, and top contemporary novelists and poets to the Auckland stage.

New this year is a Schools Programme to showcase young adult writers and songwriters.

For those that prefer the vocal side of literature, Open Mike allows the audience to be part of the show for free.

The festival is a highlight on Auckland city's cultural calendar, and brings together acclaimed writers and thousands of readers.
