About the park

Churchill Park is a new premier park, which will cater both to local residents and the wider Auckland Community.

In keeping with its history as 'Glendowie Farm' the park is managed as a ‘countryside in the city’ landscape, with open pasture on the upper slopes, and areas of woodland and bush on the lower slopes. Within this landscape character an enhanced path network and other appropriate elements will be designed.

Churchill Park is part of a ‘greenprint’ walkway from Point England through Tahuna Torea and on to Glover Park and St Heliers. At low tide there is also a recognisable circular route below the cliffs from St Heliers around to Tahuna Torea and back through Churchill Park. There is also a link to Karaka Bay via Peacock Street.
