Distance: 8.5 kilometres

This run has a challenging uphill climb of Mt Eden (Maungawhau) which is hard work, but the view is absolutely worth it! Starting in Myers Park, a peaceful reserve next to Queen Street, head up Symonds Street and onto Mt Eden Road. Take Batger Road and start the steady climb up Mt Eden. From the summit the views over the greater Auckland region make this one of Auckland's most frequented tourist attractions. Take a jog around the crater taking care to stick to the marked tracks to minimise impacts on the cone. Run down the other side, onto Clive Road and Mountain Road. Then back past Auckland Domain, to Myers Park.
