Introduction
Bush, beaches and barbecues! This average fitness, 1.5 hour walk follows a coastline
showcasing the sparkling aqua waters of the north facing bays of Waiheke Island.
Starting at Little Oneroa Beach and finishing at Palm Beach, there is a regular
public bus service to return you to Little Oneroa.
The self-guided walk will help you learn more about several inspiring community
projects on the island. It explores some of the best local beaches and places to
fish, swim and have a relaxing barbecue.
See Walkway guide and map for more information about the
guardians and friends of several coastal reserves; why a little beach caused a national
uproar and discover a bush community that only has walking access to their houses.
We would love to hear about your experience, please provide your feedback using
the online survey form.
