Real Waiheke walks are funded by Auckland City Council and are free.

Start point: Ferry terminal carpark, Matiatia
What to bring: Sturdy shoes, water, rain jacket/warm jumper
Fitness level: Average - there are a few steep sections close to the cliffs. Some caution is required, particularly with young children but you can take your time. This walk is not suitable for baby buggies or wheelchairs
Duration: 2 hours walking.

Environmental care code:

Please protect our plants, wildlife and natural heritage:
  • remove rubbish
  • keeps streams and the sea clean
  • keep to the track (respect private property)
  • do not light fires
